Collection
In line with the household linen collection made with my mother, Ethel, « Les carrés, Les ronds, Les quadrillages», here is the KIRA Set.
This set is a 4-hand job, composed of 8 embroidered cotton napkins and 8 ceramic napkin rings.
In my work, ceramic is increasingly related to fabric. These materials oppose each other and, at the same time, share a common vocabulary in their manufacture. The embroidery that we find here and there in my objects tells a story of dialogue and filiation between mother and daughter that is written over time. -
Fabrication
These linen pieces are entirely hand-embroidered with cotton thread.
Wash any stains by hand with soap before machine-washing in a delicate laundry bag. Do not use bleach.
Machine wash at 30°C maximum, on a delicate programme. Spin gently. Do not tumble dry.
These items should be cared for and treated with care.
